Standard mail times to Europe?

It2VN

To post standard format envelope airmail from Bangkok (containing a USB key/drive to the E,U. (not UK)). How long does this typically take with standard mail system ? (and is it permissible to send such content without a problem?).

I sometimes send documents.

Use one of the big international firms

Track the package

It usually takes 3 days so take that as a guide

If it's just Data, you would be far better emailing it.

Yes, thanks, I know I could use fedex, dhl whatever but it's not so urgent to use such a  pricey tracked service.

I did try other, cheaper services, but the thing went missing on both occasions.

Cheap is not recommended

I am using often the Registered Air mail by Thaipost, you can track it easy on Thaipost tracking or on other int. tracking systems.

The delivery from Thailand post office to Suvarnabhumi and then to the EU country receiving office at main Airport is relatively fast, about 5 days. After that it depends on the EU country custom clearance timing but can be between 15 to 25 days all together.

If it is allowed you can just go to a nearest Post office and ask them, they only know the updated rules that can change quickly.
