Il y a partout des (petites) pharmacies aux Phils qui donnent des médicaments nécessitant une prescription/ordonnance, même si on ne l'a pas.

Le tout est qu'ils aient le médicament (ou un générique) disponible en stock.

What you need to do is visit a Psychiatrist and explain your situation, bringing along your prescription bottle or what remains in your blister pack.

A side note for future Expats

(1) Plan prescriptions in advance.

(2) Bring an adequate supply with you for the duration, if you are visiting.

(3) Bring your medical records. (Mine are on a cd, it cost me $5 from my Medicare Advantage Provider)

Only certain Doctors can prescribe Medicines of particular types.

Best is as an appointment in a major hospital with a specialist doctor

And research the available medicines on hand MINS website

I dont know if it is clear:

-For some medications, a prescription is required, specially in major pharmacies.

-But there are thousand of pharmacies that will give you all medications freely even you dont have the prescription for.

But you can make it more complicate if you want.

If you really need a consultation and a diagnostic, not only to get medecines already prescribed, it is another problem.

Over the years on this forum some members have said they made prescription drugs purchases without a prescription.

Now I'm sure others besides myself have found out that their pharmacy didn't have the exact dosage or quantity requested. My prescriptions are not unusual, probably many of you take the same popular drugs for men in our age group.

What concerns me, if the OP manages to get a Psychiatric prescription, finding a Pharmacy to fill the prescription will be a bigger problem. For all practical purposes it could be an orphan drug, not likely carried by a pharmacy.

Maybe there is another reason for the Philippines to be the land of smiles.

Prescription are made to avoid abusive use without discernment of medicines.

Just make your consultation and prescription with a patented doctor and patented pharmacy, that is the best.
