Immigration security clearance for Work Visa in Malaysia

goodamigo

I got my VDR few days back for new job in Malaysia. I need to get single entry Visa using this. On the website of the official agent that works with the nearest Malaysian embassy for Visas, it was mentioned

With effect from 04th May 15, all foreign workers (Temporary Pass) are required to undergo the Immigration Security Clearance (ISC) process prior to visa application.

Do I need to undergo this too? Mine is a Professional Visit pass and the position is Technical Consultant. Nationality is Indian. Thanks!!

The security clearance has already been done before your VDR was approved

The notice is old and concerns unskilled jobs

You just need to present your Visa Approval Letter and perhaps read it

@Gravitas, according to above topic, one of my Vietnam's friend already passed through all the medical check up but she unable to come Malaysia to work due to failed on immigration security clearance (ISC). Do you have any ideas how to check why she failed or where I should refer to in order to check the details?

Thanks and appreciate your times to reply it.
