ESD application is Rejected reason "skill can be found locally"

samim1417

Hi All,

I am currently working in Malaysia under MSC status company and recently accepted the offer from other company who applied EP through ESD (Myxpats) and now visa is rejected stating reason "skill can be found locally". Now company is saying me they will Appeal to ESD and it will take maximum one month and asking to current company to hold to cancel current visa. My question is

1. What us rate if success to get approval?
2. Really it will take maximum 1 month or more?
3. What are options i have if appeal got rejected again?
4. What if visa was applied through MSC status company. I believe fair chance of approval right?

Please advise as if my current visa get cancel and dont have approval for new job than i would be jobless.

Firstly, what are your skills and profession?

What us rate if success to get approval?
With the reason given 10% chance to get approved

2. Really it will take maximum 1 month or more?
It takes much longer than 1 month. 65 days was mentioned but usually nothing more is ever heard.

3. What are options i have if appeal got rejected again?
No other options in this case. Future applications look uncertain as well.

4. What if visa was applied through MSC status company. I believe fair chance of approval right?
Nothing special about MSC status. There are thousands of companies with this status.

Don't give up your current job and EP. You would have to leave the country as you have no job and no visa.

My profession IT Engineer and skills as System Engineer and new profile which i accepted is Infrastructure engineer  and salary is 8500.

Thanks for your information, it was really helpful. @gravitas

Working on the hardware side of IT is a problem as it's the area of choice for Malaysians. Software engineering is still the best option to work here.

Okay noted thanks. My profile similar to server side which includes hardwares and operating system administrator. I am not softwares developer so there is chance of rejection again.

2 more last question

If this application was applied through MSC from beginning than chances were there to get approved?

Any suggestions i should not apply for EP for how many months even i get another offer from any MSC company?

Gravitas

MSC is not the issue as Malaysians also work in these companies. You may be coming to the end of working options in Malaysia because of stricter rules supporting local employees.
