A question about MBA student visa renewal and a dependant visa

army2839

I am a Korean international student.

I am currently taking an MBA course at a university in Malaysia.

Since my visa expires on March 16, I submitted my visa renewal application to the university three months before the visa expiration date and received EMGS approval six weeks ago. However, it has been six weeks since I submitted my passport to the university, but I have not yet received my passport back. The university staff just tells me to wait because I am in a special visa status, so there is no problem. I think my visa is being delayed because the university submitted my passport to the immigration office late when I was told that I was in a special visa status. Is my guess correct?

And my spouse's visa also expired on March 16, so she went on a visa trip before it expired. My concern is that this kind of visa trip will be a problem for her to be approved for a new visa later on. Please advise if you are familiar with this matter. Thank you in advance.
