What I found helped me a lot was going onto 5fm website and live streaming the station, felt so good to hear South African voices and news! I also miss braai's and wors and proper steak! It also sucks here because very few people know much about SA so you can often feel quite lost! But it does get better, and not constantly stressing about crime is bliss Hope you find your feet soon!
