Hello everyone,

I am a Canadian who first came to China, leaving a high paying IT job in Canada way back in 2004. And i am still here. I experienced a China I didn't expect to find, met a beautiful woman, started a family and not surprisingly, decided to stay here permanently.

I moved from a small city in Guangxi to the big city life of Shenzhen. I made my way through the teaching system from teaching kindergarten through university, numerous training centers, an IELTS examine and even private Chinese companies.

My Chinese has gotten more than good enough to travel, shop and carry on casual conversations with the local people. I never use translation apps or Mandarin speakers. I just work it out for myself, and have never really had an issue, though far from fluent. I genuinely feel this is vital to being able to integrate and enjoy my life in China.

I now live a quieter life in Huizhou while making YouTube videos sharing my life, experiences and opinions about life in China. I travel a lot and mostly go in random directions, avoiding the larger tourist locations and instead exploring smaller and less known parts of China.

Hi everyone,

I have been living in the U.S. for several years, working in private corporate accounting. I grew up in Suzhou, a beautiful city with over 2,500 years of history. I speak fluent English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese).

I am divorced and plan to retire in China, while traveling around the world. I am currently living in the U.S. and would love to make more friends for networking. I’m also interested in joining singles groups for people my age and hopefully finding someone to share the rest of my life with.

Looking forward to connecting with you!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been living in the U.S. for 28 years, working in private corporate accounting. I grew up in the NE — a beautiful city with more than 200 years of history — and I speak fluent English and Mandarin Chinese.

I’m  planning to retire in China while still traveling around the world. For now, I’m based in the U.S. and would love to meet more people for friendship, networking, and community. I’m also open to joining a groups for people around my age, and hopefully finding someone to share the next chapter of life with.

Looking forward to connecting with you and getting to know more people with similar interests and life goals.

My name is Simon, I am from the UK, I have been living and working in China since 2007.

I've had a long teaching career, I hold the PGCE, and Oxford Trinity Cert Tesol, and I've had all kinds of teaching experiences, from being a primary homeroom teacher, department manager, office tutor, ESL instructor, and so forth. I've had many travel, social, cultural, and work-related experiences in China, so feel free to just hit me up for a chat if you have questions or wish to discuss something.

I currently live in Shanghai City and am looking to see if there are any part time or tutoring opportunities around to support my full-time work. I also would like to network and build a nice community of people.

I wrote a book about things people encounter when teaching, why the environment might be the way it is from the first semester, and how to tackle certain indifferent perceptions and views about school and learning in general among students, parents, and the learning environment, so you can check it out
