Considering a move to SR

Hello to all. My partner (Sue) and I are considering a move to SR. Both of us hold ESL (Level 5) certifications, but are primarily intending to enjoy life and relax. I have lived in, and speak a bit of language from, PRC, Turkey, and Germany. I am looking for expats that are of an age (around 60) who are willing and able to provide some insight and general knowledge of the area. I made a similar request years ago prior to moving to China.

I learn languages quickly, love exploring other cultures, and invariably find friends with ease. I am, and she will, enjoy learning about all things Cambodia-related.

What would you have wanted/liked to know prior to making the move. I have multiple specific questions, but feel they would be burdensome here. If you are willing to help, I would be grateful. Thank you in advance.

Hi Eric. I've lived here four years this time. I had left America over 10 years ago. Lived in Vietnam for awhile, traveled here and there. Lived in Mexico a year. Then I came back to Cambodia. I wrote another post about things you can find. I think it covers many of the things I would write here. For your questions, why not just write them here. Part of this whole forum thing is exchanging knowledge and asking questions. Just doing it in private messages kind of defeats the whole purpose of this place. The things like visas, banking, renting property here, cell card service have been written here.

I do have a question for you. Have you been here before?
