English Tutor

Stephanie Batten

Hi everyone, I’m an English Tutor living in Toul Tum Poung. I’ve been offered a contract in Toul Kork, 3 lessons per day. My problem is I think I’ll spend most of my salary on taxis back and forth, or I’ll have to stay there all day waiting for lessons.

The pay is $18 for 90 mins.

I have been offered more money but closer to home, however, no contract.

Is it necessary to have a contract here?

Any advice appreciated!

Hi Stephanie,

I think the rate offered is simply too low.  I suggest you demand at least $20 an hour, perhaps with additional transport fares.
