Moving to Tangier, cost of living?

I want to hear from people who live in Tangier about a budget for living there. I live simply in that I don't drink alcohol, eat out a lot, need a car, or need a large home. Can I live somewhat comfortably on 10,000 dirhams a month. This is based on a smaller apartment not in the city center.

Thank you for the info. Very helpful. I’m actually planning to move to Agadir city in Morocco and I was interested in cost of living info. Do you know by any chance what’s the process of getting a loan from the banks in Morocco as an foreigner. If I would move there what would be the process of getting approved for a mortgage or a car loan! I appreciate your feedback.

Simona, just like in the USA, you need to show proof of income. The interest rates are much higher than the USA. It's highly unlikely you will find work there. Most Americans just pay cash for the property they are buying.
