The impact of artificial intelligence on the Morocco job market

Cheryl

Hello everyone,

Artificial intelligence is driving major changes to the job market in Morocco : task automation, evolving job roles and rise of new skills. For expats and soon-to-be expats, this transformation may raise some key questions on professional opportunities:

Which sectors in Morocco are being most affected by AI?

What new professional opportunities might AI create for expats?

Which skills should be highlighted to stand out in the job market?

What AI-related changes have you noticed in your own professional experience in Morocco?

Share your insights and experience!

Thank you for your contribution.

Artificial Intelligence in Morocco? 😄

🔹 Most affected sectors?

Banking, telecom, customer service & let’s b honest  recruitment. CVs are now screened by AI before a human even gets to say “Insha’Allah.” Even marketing teams r asking ChatGPT 4 captions faster than they ask their interns.

🔹 Skills to highlight?

Two things:

1. Learn how to work with AI.

2. Keep the 1 thing AI still struggles with  human judgment, negotiation, cultural intelligence & relationship-building (especially important in Morocco where business still runs on trust and tea ☕).

🔹 Changes I’ve noticed?

Meetings r shorter. Reports r faster. Excuses r weaker.

You can’t say “I didn’t have time to prepare the presentation” when AI can prepare 20 slides in 2 minutes. In short: AI is not taking jobs. It’s taking tasks.

The real competition isn’t AI  it’s the professional who knows how to use it better than you do.Morocco is evolving.
