@saad elghazouani
appointment for british embassy in Rabat or what? As I could suggest one thing in case if you are dual national to use other embassy of the country if you are citizen of as my brother flew in and walk in to Pakistani embassy and got his documents in less than 20mins. On the side note heโs born and bred in UK but due to us being Pakistani ethnically it saved him from a lot of stress.

Thanks very much!
@storagejazzier0h
Hi, if you like to sell your date, I would love to take it please.ย Unfortunately I do not have a date to trade.
Salam Guys,
I applied for โaffirmation of marital statusโ and I received an email with a link to book an appointment. But no appointments are available to book, I tried at 6 am, 8 am, and 12 pm, several times during the day. But nothing worked, my fiancรฉe called them many times no response, she even went to the embassy but they refused to talk to her without an appointment. Iโm feeling hopeless, anyone got any advice for me?

hi,
someone can help me to book appointment in british embassy rabat?
i really need urgently
Hi All, does anyone know if both the British citizen and the Fiance need to attend the appointment for the affidavit and passport verification?
or is it okay to go on my own, thank youย
Hi all
I don't know how accurate this is but I've received information stating that the embassy in Rabat is no longer going to provide the documents for marriage in Morocco for British citizens living in the UK, only for British citizens living abroad. For British citizens in the UK, a certificate of non impediment is required from your local registry office.
To summarise again, I've just heard the British embassy in Morocco is no longer providing the certification for marriage to British citizens living in the UK. The embassy appointments are only for British citizens living abroad.
Does anyone have any further information on this?
I received this news from a family member in Morocco who is related to a judge!
@Tik85
It seems impossibleย ย everything is eiher unavailable ir not yet issued.ย ย Any advice from anyone on how to get these appointments please
@AdamSu
How does someone show/prove where they 'live'......? Is it not possible to 'live' in different countries?
More nonsense from the Ununited Kingdom.
@bobmattingly06
Iโve been trying but not had any luck either.
did you manage to find an appointment?
For the 6th of December onwards It says โNot released yetโ.
๐
does anyone have an appointment for November or December that I can buy from them (ideally for Rabat) ??
If one asks the Adoul courts is there a way we can avoid the consulate as they donโt have any appointments?
Iโm sure they can suggest an alternative way for example obtaining the same document from the UK.
The British consulate in morocco issue you 2 documents,
1) affirmation of marriage status (which you can get from your local council in the UK called Certificate of No Impediment (CNI).
2) citizenship status (you can ask a solicitor whatโs the alternative you can get from the UK)
if the adoul accepts the above bypassing method then it should be all good. Not sure though unless Iโm missing something?!
Hi all,
Get the CNI done at your local council. Itโll be ready to pick up in 29 days.
Send this by recorded delivery to get apostile done (legalisation) to https://www.hagueapostille.co.uk/
they will Apostille it and return within 3 days.
Take this to the Moroccan courts and no need to go to embassy.
How should I book an appointment to get married. We have paid to book an appointment yet no luck with bookings.
@muzaffar1972
You have to keep checking every night nd early morning to re if there are at cancellations.
which website is u make payment?
@Umarulhasan
I made it on the gov uk website paid ยฃ75, feel like asking for a refund back because Iโm unable to book an appointment
Iโve paid too. Same boat. Just email Rabat consulate. They may or may not reply. Useless.
get a CNI from your local council, it takes 29 days until u can collect it. Then send it for legalisation.
and also get a passport copy notarized by solicitor then send the copy of that to get legalised.
maybe the above will enable you to bypass embassy appointment.
Since you can see the British 'embassy' (read, outpost) staff out on the town in Rabat getting drunk as skunks every single night I find it believe they ever get any work done during the day. They are very unprofessional and they should all be dismissed.ย
@Umarulhasan
If the CNI and passport certified in the uk do you bypass the consulate?ย ย Does your moroccan partner need to attend consulate rabat?
I am going through the process. Iโll have my CNI in December, Iโll get an apostille for it from FCDO, through a law firm called The Hague, their turn around time is 3 days. Passport copy certified by solicitors t be sent also for apostille through same law firm.
these two documents shouldโ suffice as an alternative to embassy issued docs. The embassies areย under FCDO, so getting it issued from London or an embassy abroad โshouldโ not make a difference.
itโs all upto the judge in mrc to decide.
if it works then Iโll let you know before Christmas.
in meantime keep looking for a cancellation. Embassy in Rabat told us today that itโs choca blocks for next four months (unless thereโs a cancellation which Iโve not found for weeks).
Hope that helps.
@Umarulhasan
If it is so far ahead with appointments why are they not tey released.ย ย ย Something not right!
@Umarulhasan
Thanks for the detail. Yeah these lack of appointments are super annoying. Although I heard the court in Rabat wonโt accept documents outside of the embassy (according to what they told my fiance), the adoul might otherwise accept documents from the uk. However the court at the end are the ones that decideย
@Yusuf Sheikh
I heard the same. Everyone is making money out of this loophole. ๐คทโโ๏ธ if the courts want they can accept it. All they need to be satisfied about is that the person is not married. For this the CNI is enough. But unfortunately either they are waiting for someone to grease their palm, or they just unaware of their own law.
