What happens if you sell the RES property you PR permit is based upon?

peterg123

Imagine you invest 500K  in a  RESproperty and get a PR. The property does really well, moves up sharply in value and you decide in say 3 years time to sell.

Do you lose your PR? Or once the RES investment is made, the PR that results is until death?

The permit is linked to the property you’ve acquired. Should you  choose to sell that Mauritian home, you  will immediately lose your residency permit and its benefits.

What happens if you sell after getting citizenship and getting mauritius passport?

Hello and welcome !

Residence permit and nationality/citizenship are 2 different things.

If you acquire the Mauritian nationality, it will remain yours even if you sell.

If you have acquired residency thorugh buying property, you will lose it upon selling.
