Love on the island

This might not be the correct way of going about it , but I am asking if anyone knows of dedicated dating website and/or speed dating in Mauritius. Have fallen for this island and would now like to chance my luck on possibly meeting someone to share it with. Thanks

Yeah,

That is a good question. Most dating sites are scams...
you probably have to just keep going out at places where foreigners hang out.

do local mauritsians intermingle with foreigners?
try a website love2knowu its from South Africa and you have to pay a nominal fee...but look at it first and make your own choice

To my knowledge yes they do. You should probably ask the question the other way round.

Touché! :-)

But, yeah, you are right -- you recieve what you put out in this world.

A quote I remember from college,

"Issolation makes people suspicions and suspicion keeps them issolated."

please can i get a conact for a Expatriate lady who is looking for someone free to mingle.
ok, same
Hi,
I dont want to be rude to any one , but to what messages I read from Julian before is that this forum is for helping expats move and settle down in Mauritius. This platform is not supposed to be used as a dating site.

Arif
hi arif, well if you date someone, you can as well settle down, safely and surely :)

cheers,
islander.

The locals (or Natives as some expat referred to them as) are not a hostile bunch who would tie you up and roast you with an apple in your mouth.;)

You just need to reach out to others if you want to receive something in return. Maybe those expats that have Mauritian partners could help you on the topic.

Otherwise it works the same here as most places; if you find someone interesting, go up to her/him and talk to that person.

most places but not all places. i lived in libya for 20 years. in libya, no matter how cute a libyan girl is, you don't approach her.

Hence my "most places" bit. There's still some very conservative families on the island; otherwise the women/men here are rather open nowadays!
