Savanne, Riambel

Mojpe

Hello,

can anybody help me with advise.
We need information about this area.
Is there place to swim? I heard that there are only cliffs and no place to bath. And that is more windy that in other places.

Is this true?

I been there, but only in Souillac and that day was windy and rainy. But its hard to tell only for one day experience.

Thank you for help.

Hello,

Riambel is not really windy as compared to the South East region...and there is a beach, not a long stretch though.
There is even a horse stable called the Centre Equestre de Riambel, where you can enjoy horse riding on the beach.

We recently stayed at the Villas Valriche in Bel Ombre which is not that far from where you are enquiring about. We drove around extensively and it really is a beautiful part of Mauritius. We came across a number of public beaches and they looked top-class. It was windy in August but the climate was mild and we had a fabulous time. The minute you go past Le Morne and head north you are sheltered from the wind by the mountains.
