Hello everyone,

I’m looking for some guidance regarding the process of selling a property in Mauritius.

I purchased an apartment under the G+2 scheme in 2020 and am now planning to sell it. The real estate agent advised me that I need to obtain an approval letter from EDB before proceeding with the sale.

I visited the EDB in person and emailed the Real Estate Department as instructed, but despite follow-ups, I have not received response on the process.

I would like to ask:

Is this the standard process, and how long does it usually take?

Are there any agencies, professionals, or consultants who can assist with handling the EDB process?

Any shared experiences, advice, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
