Hi
Does anyone know where is available imported pork cold cuts or ham in Cairo and cheese fondues? Except Petro, wich i know it.

best one for pork cold cuts is OSKAR its in heliopolis ares OMAR EBN ELKHATAB ST , if you find it difficult to reach i can get you more info

he got both local & imported pork and there"s gourmet as well you find fine cuts there, for the nearest gourmet shop for you visit their website,any more info you need i hope i can be of any help

When i was living in that area many of the people i worked with would buy the local pork items from oskars.

they use to sell imported as well , i will try to get their numbers and make sure about"t , but anyway their products are beautifull:cheers:

Thanks again Suzana and thank you Shorouk, in Gourmet i did not find any pork products or fondue, but they do have few nice other things. I was asking if is local or imported, as i know manny of people are afraid to use the local ones for health reasons, and i know as well that all the pigs where sacrificed last year (even Thomas pizza stoped selling ham and bacon). So definetelly i will give a try to Oskar

i never shopped for fondue .. but as fas as i know Swiss Restaurants make fondue tasting events & it's in their menu .. so they might sell it .. here they are:

just under the Chinese restaurant which is upstairs.there was and may still be a shop which sold pork products along with some other meat and poultry items located on rd 9 near the focus optical shop.

many ex-pats used to use this shop.

its been a couple of years since i have been to that area so im not sure if its still open.

Thanks, i checked la gourmet, no fondue. Aykalam, we know there are no pork products in La Gourmet, Boby moon i think he was talking about cheese fondue

I did not checked out yet the shop on the road 9, is good to know as well. Thanks

The Deli in Maadi (9 b, 216 Street, Degla) sells pork imported from Greece.
Bit expensive but very good!
They do home delivery.
