Hello everyone!

I hope you are well.

Currently, most countries require foreigners to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to be allowed to enter. While some countries are making vaccination compulsory for kids, others are putting it forward as an option.

How do you expats and expats-to-be feel about getting the jab?

Are you planning to get your children vaccinated against COVID-19?

Would you rather postpone your international relocation plans until things get sorted out?

Easy one. I looked at vaccinations and all the daft horror stories, decided the anti vax lot were less than on the ball because none of their stories hold water, then got the kids vaccinated as soon as possible.
Both have had their second jab, and both will get boosters as soon as possible.
My booster is tomorrow - Bit hard to get here but I was offered one if I turn up at 8am tomorrow morning - I cancelled my day so I could be there.

I've had 4 shots, my 13 yr old has had 3 shots, my younger son 2 shots. We're all healthy and safe. The vaccine is safe.

My Lao wife, our youngest daughter, married daughter, her husband and young son have all been vaccinated. No problems health wise.

Which "some" countries exactly are making covid vaccination obligatory for kids?

As far as I am aware there are none like this.

Not taken the jab and obviously don't intend to. Still feeling healthy enough (for my age lol) nor do I avoid social contact going out 3 or 4 times a week for my midday meals in restaurants, etc. etc. Not scientific evidence but the impression I get is that the un-vaxed and vaxed fair just about the same regarding catching the C-bug. The second impression I get is that if Covid returns again a lot less people will be lining up for the jab.

It's available in the UK to all over the age of 5, UK Government advice is that:

I'm married to a Healthcare professional who has been involved in this since day 1, her advice is that you should seek expert medical assistance if you or your children display any of the Covid symptoms. My entire family have had all of the Covid vaccinations available to us in the UK; one of our daughters (who is also an NHS nurse) has a weakened immune system and caught Covid, the new anti-viral treatments were administered, they cured her and she was back on the wards 3 days later.
