Are the people hearts have got hard or they just act as if they are???

riswan

Hello everyone!

I just started using this blog, and I am just wondering the phenomena here. I can see lot of people posting numerous posts in every forum.

" My name is such and such, I am looking for friends".. "I am new to dubai ... I need friends"

As if they dying for true friendship, but what wonders me is that when we contact them, for TRUE, DECENT friendship, they don't respond!

I do want to ask them a clear question, IF you are just looking only for girlfriends, then please be clear in your posts. so that the guys like me, who wants to  make a real, decent friendship, will not get disappointed by responding to your posts and getting no responses in return.

Hope this would benefit all those decent people, who treats friends and friendship as it should be!

Kind regards

Riswan

The expat communities are an interesting bunch. They do ask to meet people but you often never hear from them again. It might be because they stay for a short period of time and some of them have a hard time to assimilate.

At least I'm talking from personal experience. I have lots of friends, locals and from many parts of the world, but have a hard time connecting with the expats from where I'm from. It might be due to the fact that they're here for a short period of time while I'm an immigrant, not an expat.

maybe this is just their past time. sometimes what you see is not really what you get.

True indeed but Riswan was talking about this blog.
Most of the (new) members from this blog has/had the intention to find some friends. If you contact them, or they you, after one or two messages you'll never hear of them again.

So Riswan, don't worry about it: people come and people go.

My bad. I thought it was an expat issue, not an internet issue. Good luck to you anyway, Riswan.
