Kuwait Public Transit Demystified

After much searching I have found a good Route map for kuwait city public transit.

I can only verify that the 16 and 66 bus are correct on this map, because those are the only busses I have ridden.

Bus fare is currently 250 fils on KPTC buses and 350 fils on CityBusses. A much more affordable way to get around than paying 2 KD for a taxi ride. Busses are usually fast and own the road so they get you there quickly.

Note: Busses in Kuwait must be hailed like a cab, flag them down (even when you are at a known bus stop) otherwise they will not stop. Some drivers decide to skip stops regardless of how much you wave, no idea why, just wait for the next one.

Heres the link to the route map:

PS, the front two rows of seats on any bus are reserved for women. I got many dirty looks for sitting in the front before this was pointed out to me by a local. Never sit by a woman....

Now that is a cool help.

Thanks for the post.
