Hi all,
I'm getting all my documents together so I have them to hand when the Foreign Births Register opens back up, and I wasn't sure about one thing.
My father is an Irish citizen due to my grandmother being born in Ireland.
If my (still living) father doesn't have a passport, is there any alternative that can be used for my application?

The FBR department has a contact webpage where you can ask these questions directly to them online; this link will take you straight to it. Also on the page is a link to an FAQ section, it may be worthwhile checking that out as well.
