Prepaid internet

Hi everyone,

We are not retired yet but will be back and forth to Punta Cana. In regards to internet are there plans other than monthly.  I would rather not have to pay a monthly plan when I might only be there for a week or two. Any suggestions?

Thank you

Yes! You can buy a SIM card for about $2 and then just buy data as you need it. The cheapest way is with just data, no phone calls or text, but if you use WhatsApp or Skype for calls and messaging, data is all you need!

Thanks do you have any idea of the cost or who is the better provider. Is there such a thing to be able to use a fire stick on the tv?

Thanks for your help

Yes - you can use your phone as a hot spot and connect your Fire Stick. If you are streaming a lot, it will use a lot of data!

One thing to remember is if you want "home" content, you will need a VPN connection. For instance, Netflix will work without a VPN, but you'll only get content available in the DR.
