Transfer vaccinated status from BeAware to Tawakkalna

Post new topic

iukuk

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to ask if anyone has transferred their vaccinated status in the Bahrain BeAware App to the Tawakkalna App. The ministry of health guys said it can be done by uploading my vaccine certificate to the MOH website but then put me on hold forever and it’s been the same since, can’t get through.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Best regards

Thank you.

Yes, I’ve tried that and been put on hold for an hour or more. My question was whether anyone here had actually done it. I’ve written to them but no reply yet.

You have to send an email to 937 with scans of:

Passport copy
Vaccination certificate
Iqama
CPR
Your mobile number

Request them to update your status in Tawakkalna.  Then keep calling them every few days (Option 5 on 937 helpline) to try to register a report and get a report number.   Also send reminder emails.  If you are lucky, this will be done in a few months.

One BIG point to keep in mind, if you took AstraZeneca or Pfizer in Bahrain, then it is possible.  Saudi hasn't recognized / approved any other vaccine that is being given in Bahrain till now e.g. Sinopharm.  So only do this hassle if you have taken AZ or Pfizer, some colleagues of mine (and myself) have gotten rejections for being vaccinated with Sinopharm.

In any other case, you are better off getting a separate vaccine in Saudi.  I did the same due to this same Tawakkalna issue re: Sinopharm.   My Sinopharm doses were completed in January in Bahrain and 937/MOH refused to recognize it for Tawakkalna status in March.  So I took Pfizer in April in Saudi and got immune status :).  Consult with your doctor for your specific conditions to see if this will be safe for you - it went fine for me.    So am now double dosed with two different vaccines!.

Amazing! Two vaccines!  Well done. Yes, I’ve got the Sinopharm and I did speak to 937 about it. They said Sinopharm ‘should’ be okay and then put me on perpetual hold....I’ll give it a shot as things are about to open up and the Emiratis also are giving a lot of Sinopharm now so perhaps the Saudis may accept it. You never know.

Thank you again for your detailed reply, greatly appreciated. Will let everyone know how I get on.

Honestly 937 doesn't know anything most of the time.  I can tell you, without a doubt, that till now, sinopharm is not approved in Saudi.  I got an official email from 937 (after they told me in a phone call that they will update it - similar to what they told you) stating that Sinopharm cannot be used to update vaccinated status in Tawakkalna as it is not approved for use in Saudi.   Hopefully it should be accepted once WHO approves it which is expected in May - Saudi doesn't approve any vaccine which is not approved by WHO.

The real benefit of the vaccinated status in Tawakkalna (whether one dose or full) is that it doesn't turn blue when you enter Saudi i.e. you don't have to self isolate.  This saves a lot of hassle for people like me who live in Bahrain and work in Saudi.

Keep us posted.

Thanks. Will do. The problem now is that my BeAware app won’t go from first shot taken to 2nd shot completed!!! I have called 444 about 10-12 times in the past 10 days and a man rung me just a couple of days before Eid and told me he’d email me my certificate as BeAware is not working properly for paper CPR holders. I gave him my email
address, then... nothing. I call every day and lodge a complaint and they’re actually starting to get quite testy with me now.. Waiting...Eid Mubarak.

Can u tell the process of taking a vaccine in saudi when one is holding a bahraini cpr or passport

XTang

You can't. You need an iqama

Ali Inayat

Ok

XTang

As I said, you can only do that if you were vaccinated with Astra or Pfizer or Moderna.  Saudi doesn't recognize any other vaccine at the moment so they won't update your status on tawakkalna if you took eg. Sinopharm.

XTang

If you took both doses, then send an email to 937 with the documents I mentioned earlier.  Follow up with reminder emails every week and calls every other day - try to register a report and get a number.  If you are lucky, you should be able to get it updated in a few months.

XTang

Because it's government and then Saudi.  Everything takes long to get done.  Good luck on the calling them nowadays..... Wait for 40 minutes or more to get through to them if you are lucky.

They can put in the system and when you enter, clear immigration and login to tawakkalna, it should show.  But forget about seeing it before you physically enter....as its linked to immigration system... Once you exit, after 2 or 3 days the status shows as unknown.... And only resets when immigration marks you in.

Hello, that explains via my Tawalkkana won’t work abroad. I’m fully vaccinated with Pfizer and immune on Tawalkkana in Saudi, I’m currently in Dubai and at first it showed ‘can’t load status’ then I logged out and in again, and now I won’t get past the location settings - probably as the apps realises I’m outside the country…
Q: how can I show my vaccine status on check-in/customs if I cannot log into Tawalkkana? 🤔

Any ideas anyone.

Much appreciated!

Unninstall and Re install it

I tried no luck. It pushes one through the ‘select location’ step, which limits it to where i am currently, abroad in Dubai…

You said you have logged out of app.
Unninstall will wipe out the settings of the app.

If location is blocking then it will work when you land in ksa before the emigration happens.

Try sehaty app there is a certificate also.
It can be shown if needed.

Update on Tawakkalna access outside of the Kingdom.

This is the ONLY way it works.   Change to your Saudi SIM, turn on data roaming, turn off wifi and then access Tawakkalna.   I tried it just now while being in Bahrain and it updated my status from Unknown to immune with first dose.  So it only works on Saudi networks.

This is only if you are logged into Tawakkalna already.  Haven't tried logging off and trying.

If it doesn't log in with this method then go to Sehatty, Covid vaccine appointment and download medical report which you can use for airlines.

Back in March, MOH 937 told me by email, Bahrain vaccination is not allowed to be added to Tawakkalna.  I resent email last week and awaiting reply but I have sinopharm vaccine so not holding out much hope

XTang

Yep that is what I said.  Unless Sinopharm is approved, forget about it.

However, when you call 937, they have been saying that it is approved (3-4 different calls made to 937 in the last week).  But there has been no announcement.  A friend, at the same time, sent them email for updating AstraZeneca taken in Bahrain and it was uploaded to Tawakkalna within 3 days while the friend who took Sinopharm (and who made the calls mentioned above) is still waiting.   So there is some confusion in the background.

adeelabid24

Just got to saudi today with institution quarantine requirement - being fully vaccinated by two doses of sino. All this traveling between saudi and bahrain is a mess now for non approved vaccines.

adeelabid24

Did you take one dose of pfizer in saudi or two doses? And how are you feeling now?

So far my doctor is ok recommending one dose of pfizer (after two months of getting two doses of Sino). But traveling from bahrain to saudi would still not be possible via causeway with one dose of pfizer.

One dose, no side effects.

And it is possible, I am travelling every week.  Came to Saudi this Saturday via causeway (my third trip since they put the restrictions).  Show immune by one dose status on tawakkalna and a pcr test.... No issue in crossing.  I don't know why people are confused. They even clarified it.  Go to Instagram and KF causeway page..... Ask an Arabic speaker to translate for you.... The Q&A post.

And as an advice, don't listen to people. Most people haven't done it themselves and keep talking with confidence out of their rear end.    Either ask someone who has tried it or read official announcement.

The official announcement was clear from day one (if you know Arabic).  Immune traveler definition for residents is clear ie one dose, two dose or recovered, showing on tawakalna.  Non residents is two doses only.  Then on top, citizens, only for causeway, need two doses.

Hope it's clear now.

adeelabid24

Got it!

Thanks for the help. Will get pfizer as soon as my institutional quarantine ends

Chug :-)

How about transferring of my Tawakkalna Status  (Fully Vaccinated with Booster Shot) to Bahrain BeAware since i have shift my working place from KSA to Bahrain. Anyone please advise on how this will process?

XTang

Been covered before.  It's very simple.

Go into BeAware App, click on report issues with vaccination status, choose you took your vaccine in another country and follow the prompts / attach the documents.

It takes a couple of weeks max.
