Driving a campervan through Mexico to Belize?

Hello, my name is Erin and my husband and I and our teen daughter plan to move to Belize early next year.  We are interested in possibly driving a campervan there.  Has anyone done this or have suggestions, understanding land borders need to reopen.  We know duty is less on a truck or van but not sure how this would be classified (see picture for type of van we would drive down).  https://scontent.fewr1-6.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.6435-9/166675128_10224571768178954_6278300084567536507_n.jpg?_nc_cat=102&ccb=1-3&_nc_sid=825194&_nc_ohc=FmwbxwP-Zj8AX8iNppH&_nc_ht=scontent.fewr1-6.fna&oh=b6578a58f7a540a136c283de84137411&oe=60935158

If anyone has any real experience with this we'd appreciate your input.

Thanks!

I have driven through Mx several times over the years with no problems.. It is much more dangerous these days. Even many of the guys that used to buy cars in Texas and drive them down to sell have quit because of dangers on the road. These guys are experienced and speak Spanish yet have given up what used to be a pretty lucrative job.
Suggest you ship your vehicle or buy one here. It would be a terrible shame to start your new life in Bz with a nightmare on the road in Mx.
wish you well
