Health Insurance coverage requirements for expat?

Hello.

I'm moving to Denmark October 2 to start the family reunification process. I thought I saw somewhere that I need to my own health coverage during the process until I have residency but I can't seem to find that information on line. Does anyone know what the health coverage requirement is for someone moving from the U.S.?
