30% Tax Rule Netherlands

Hello,

I don't know if anybody here can help me with that question but I though I give it a shot.
I currently work in the USA but will soon be transferred to work in the Netherlands. Because I am a German citizen, I plan to live on the German side of the border. I would like to use the benefits of the 30% tax rule that the Netherlands offer. My question is, is it possible to qualify for this tax rule if you don't actually life in the Netherlands? I would be employed and be paying taxes in the Netherlands.

Thank you,

Nicklas

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

One of the requirements of being granted 30% tax rule is that you must be resident in the Netherlands.  So, no, you can't live in Germany and claim the rule.

Hope this helps.
