Exchanging Inclusive Accommodation within Contract for More QAR

I wondered if anybody has any experience with this.

Both my wife and I are looking at moving to Qatar within the next few years to work as a teacher and myself a laboratory technician in a hospital.

From what I can see it is quite common for both our professions to have inclusive accommodation within the contracts offered. Obviously we wouldn't need two.

Has anybody had this experience and managed to forgo the accommodation within one of the contracts and have the financial equivalent included in the contract instead. So for example, if they valued the accommodation aspect of the contract at X amount of QAR, instead they pay you that extra.

you both should negotiate your employers and ask them about housing allowance in cash and choose the higher allowance in cash, i guess in government entities its applicable
