Consulting a doctor online.

Has anyone had any experience with online doctors. It is now quite popular . I see it as a way to get medical advice from doctors in ones on country while living away from home. Has anyone ever tried it? If yes, how did it go?

I have found that here in Costa Rica  going to a pharmacy at places like Walmart of ValuPlus does the trick for me for most things.  They very often have someone on staff (not sure if they are doctors, PA's or pharmacists)  who can help.  This saves the time to go to a doctor and the cost of the appointment.  I would rather go somewhere where the advising person can see the problem, if that is what is necessary for them to make a final recommendation.   I have never used an online doctor, though.
