2800 eur/month post-tax - Is it a comfortable pay?

I am evaluating an offer to move to Bucharest with a pay of 2800 euro/month. I am married and below 30 without kids.

Is this a comfortable income if I want to rent a 1BHK apartment in a good locality, buy a good car (~40000 euro on lease/loan), and do a lot of road trips on holidays and weekends?

We do not party or eat-out much. What is the max amount that I will be able to save?

Hi Expatoftheworld89,

Welcome to the forum.

Have a look at this thread till members provide you their feedback : Cost of living 2018 in Romania

And as Johnny suggested, numbeo could be a good resource : https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/i … rrency=EUR

All the best,

Thanks Bhavna. I have run multiple scenarios through Numbeo, but wanted to get a reply with some more human touch if possible.
