More than 90 days in one year prior to ILR?

Hi, my name is Nicu and I have been living and working in the UK for almost 4 years and I would like to apply for ILR next year, after turning 5 years of living in the UK.

My problem is that this year I might leave the UK for 3 months and a half. I know 3 months in one year would not be a problem when it comes to applying for ILR but what if I spend a few weeks more than 3 months?

I need to mention that I have only spent 2 weeks outside of the UK in all 4 years.

I read everywhere that, to be eligible for ILR, you cannot spend more than 450  days in 5 years but... in one year what is the limit? Some say it is 3 months and others say 6 months...

I only know that in the last year before applying for ILR you should not spend more than 3 months but I don't care about that now.

Can you please advise?
Kind regards,
Nicu

Hello and sorry for the late reply. Yes I am an EU citizen, to start with.

What about the document found at the following address:

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u … .0-EXT.pdf

What about the 180 days in 12 consecutive months? I am finding myself in the fifth year now, completing 5 years in May 2019.

I have only spent 2 weeks outside the UK in the 4th year.

The problem is that now, in the fifth year, I need to spend between 4 and 5 months in my country, Romania.

How do I work around that? Is it ok to spend that time now and apply after another extra year or how do I do this?

Basically I need to get to the point where I can apply for British citizenship...

Thank you very much,
Nick
