Hello dear Members,

Can you please list some of the main Internet Service providers in Egypt? You may also include the cost related to their Internet subscription.

Another issue related to the telecommunication topic, is mobile plans. Can you please share with us:
>With which operator are you subscribed to?
>How are you finding their services?
>What kind of facilities do they offer?

Lastly, what is the best option according to you to make long distance calls in Egypt?

Your views/suggestions will be highly valued.

Wish you all a great day & thanks you in advance for your participation.

Hello Yud,
Good day,

I will try to give you a fast tips on what you have requested, and I hope it could help,

alright, for your first question about the internet providers, I would list them as below.

-TEDATA: and you can find their rate plans here: http://www.tedata.net/web/eg/en/default … ec=3&pr=2.
-LINK: rate plans here http://www.linkdsl.com/Linkdsl_Code/Pag … tion.aspx.
-Vodafone: rate plans here http://www.vodafone.com.eg/en/Personal/ … index.htm.
-Etisalat: rate plans here http://etisalat.com.eg/portal/page?_pag … smartadsl.

I myself uses TEDATA the 2MB package it costs 220EGP a month and it works quite good for me.

as for your seconed one we have 3 mobile opreaters in Egypt listed as below.

-Vodafone: rate plans here http://www.vodafone.com.eg/en/Personal/ … index.htm.
-Etisalat: rate plans here http://etisalat.com.eg/portal/page?_pag … as=prepaid
-Mobinil: rate plans here http://www.mobinil.com/home.aspx.

and my answer for your 3 mobile related qustion as below.

- I use Etisalat the Business Way 200 rateplane.
- the service is quite good, but lately after the revolution I was facing some problem with their network such as(call dropps/echo/can hear the caller but he can't hear me), however those errors started to be less about a week ago.
-for thier facilities and all rateplans just follow their above link and you will find everything you need.

and my answer for your last question, the best option that I see for the long distance calls(international calls) is the one that I am using now BW200 it cost me 1.99EGP per minute for the international calls, and I think this is the lowest rate, as for all calls within Egypt it costs 17PT per minute.

hope this will help,
cheers,
Yahya

for international calls: with Vodafone you have: World in your hands, you can also subscribe as a prepaid customer, also LE1.99.
There is not that much difference between the providers.

totally true, I have to agree with you on this one, the 3 operators are always racing to be on top, so whenever an operator offers a new promo or rateplan the next day you will find the other ones offering the same thing or even better one,
so yeah not this much difference,

DSL: TE Data followed by Vodafone
mobile: go for Vodafone, best rates and customer service, great value for money

but I hate the "fair usage policy" !! We were customers from Vodafone ADSL before this rule, but Vodafone (only?) decided that it is for ALL their customers, TEDATA applied the rule only for NEW customers. (before the rule was: if you downloaded more than your limit, than your p2p speed dropped, NOT your surfing speed!)
If you compare the speed and cost in Europe for unlimited (this is really unlimited, not like in Egypt) internet, Egypt is way behind and needs to upgrade quick!

for the DSL, i totally agree... but there've been a lot of rumors, fears n doubts raised by NTRA prior forcing speed limits, i work for Vodafone, and i think i will try to raise this concern, also as another force, u may try to post ur comments/raise concerns via FB or twitter, they listen effectivly

do u have many of ur friends complaining, about speed limitation issue?
