What to expect when moving to Qatar

Hello everyone,

Is there anything you wish you had known before moving to Qatar? For example, transportation, internet speeds, types of housing, aspects of the culture or social life.

In your opinion, what's the most important thing to know about Qatar?

When would you recommend someone should begin planning their move to Qatar?

What were the most helpful ways you found to get organised? For example, did you use a checklist, were there any particularly useful websites or apps?

What advice would you give to future expats preparing to move to Qatar?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

Hi Priscilla
Qatar is very safe country but expensive specialy rent and accommodation its getting better comparing to last year but still its high
majority of the people are muslim so its abit conservative society summer season is super suuuuuper hot reaching to the 50 C and durind winter its cooler and nice
i was born here so im not able to view Qatar as an expat but in general Qatar is peaceful place to live. its very small country so you can expect that there is not very much you can do here for leisure. its surrounded by the nice beaches that can be used during nice seasons not hot seasons of course.
or spending time in shopping malls or deserts by the beach.
hope this is helpful if there is any specific thing you would like to know please let me know
