Hello!

My husband and I are looking to move to Santander. we have been travelling through Spain with our 2 children for a bit and think that this area looks like a wonderful place to raise a family. we would love to hear your thoughts on which neighbourhoods are the best. Any suggestions for good schools is also appreciated. We really value green space and the idea of many things being accessible without driving. We are very excited to be in Spain and to immerse ourselves in the culture however, it would also be nice to have some expat families around. Is there a small expat community to be found?

Hello Tara ,
Valdenoja o La Pereda are good places. These are new areas with good buildings, green areas and close to the sea. You will find bike lines near and a big park called "las llamas".
There are also good schools around, public and "church school", both are free. Los Agustinos, las esclavas are well known schools.
