New Expat in Pau France, looking for English speaking friends

I think one of the best ways to meet English speaking people is if you go to the British pubs/bars in Pau. You could also look for the international or Erasmus Facebook groups online where English speaking people will gather and that may organise nights out/meet ups etc.

Apparently my student friend living in Pau says this is a really good night out that a lot of young students/International/English speaking people attend!

I share my time between Pau and Paris and I am staying in a small village just outside of Pau which has been difficult for meeting people. I unfortunately do not have a car but it would be a pleasure to have a coffee. There is a small bar in the village called Black Beard.

After twelve years living outside of France (Mexico, Scotland and United Arab  Emirates) we are gcurrently arranging our move to Pau, a city we don't know, for the end of the year.
We are coming with our 2 kids (7 and 5) who never spent more than 3 weeks in a row in France... Argh !
That's going to be a big challenge for all of us to fit in the French society....
I would be really glad to meet you when we arrive ! Not speaking English on a daily basis will be such a change and not a good one...

My husband and I have been in and out of Pau for the past 5 years and will be back at the end of May. We keep staying longer and longer (this year will be 9 months) and meeting others is definitely high on our list. We live by place georges clemenceau (the heart of Pau) and are available for things like coffee/hikes/you name it.
