Actually i wasnt planning to lived permanently in dominican republic, i just want to know more about distrito nacional? Because that place is where i wanted to stay if ever the time has come for me to travel dominican republic.thank you

Distrito Nacional is in the center of Santo Domingo. This is where you will find the nicer places to live. It's surrounded by the municipalities of Santo Domingo Este, Norte and Oeste.

There are very nice communities in SD - all over the entire area. It all depends what you are looking for. Tourist accommodations? Family home? Highrise apartment? Length of stay? What you want to be near? Budget?
