I suppose the dates passed 
but there are a lot of local activities which you can find in meetup.com and couchsurfing.com as well if you need to explore in the future.

It was crazy in KLCC park on New Year's Eve. I didn't expect all people of KL will be there haha..went to Brazilian restaurant which is at the top floor of a mall across the street and had a good view of the craziness happening down there
