Property prices in Honduras

Hello everyone,

Finding affordable housing in Honduras is number one priority for newcomers. Tell us more about the estate market in your district/city/region.

What are the most desired places to live? What are the most affordable ones? What is the average cost of a rented flat? And what is the average sale price for an appartment or a house? Could you tell us more about local real estate policies/procedures? What about property tax or residency tax in Honduras?

What about you? Where do you live now? Is it a place you would recommend?

Thank you in advance for your clarifications.

The cost of living on Roatan, for most expats, ranges from $1,500  to $3,000 a month. But some pay as little  who live outside of French Harbour in the home they own, who spend less than $1,200 a month. Long-term monthly rents start at $600 a month. You’ll find a good selection of rental homes and condos priced from $1,000 to $1,500a month in most areas of the island. These rentals are usually on the sea, or have a sea view.
