I don't live in Haiti full-time; I travel there about once a year. Since electrical service is "iffy" at best (frequent disruptions and outages), be prepared for the heat without A/C (some people have generators for those times). Haiti is in the tropics so expect humidity, heat and the possibility for hurricanes. Personally, I don't mind the heat but the director at the orphanage where I serve has a hard time dealing with the heat.
