Hello, I am Sergio, a Mexican who wants to work in the field of tourism in Romania.

I am about to finish my college and I will have a master's degree in environment soon, my question: Is it difficult to get work in this area ?

Because Romania has a huge potential and I would love to work in any area of the Balkan peninsula either in protected natural areas or anything like that, I can speak Spanish and English 100% and I'm learning Romanian hoping that this helps in my search for a good job.

Greetings from Mexico!

Hello and welcome Sergio,

Yes, it will likely be difficult, as you'll require a work visa since you are from outside the EU, and the employer must deal with the process to obtain it, including supporting the cost.  Generally, jobs must first be offered to local nationals, then EU nationals, THEN other categories like yourself.  Knowing Romanian well, will be important.  Some people with environmental background would be great for this country.

Good luck in your search
