I have recently been offered a modeling contract in Beijing, China. I am wondering what it's like as an American living there. Would learning the language be mandatory or do a lot of people speak English there? What are some things I should know going into it? Any information an american can give me about life there would be great! I'm very excited for the opportunity and would love some advice from you all! thanks!

JWilliamson's might be accurate for Hong Kong (which is where I believe he is based) but is far from being Beijing accurate.
