Port fees

We are shipping household goods from US to Malta, and I was told by the shipper that port fees in Malta are not included as they don't know what the fees will cost. Has anyone dealt with this? I read somewhere else that fees can be up to €500! I hope that's not correct. I am only shipping a few pallets of boxes, not an entire container.

is a link for port charges
but I don't think these will apply or if they do it will be a small percentage
When I asked the company who is shipping out goods over to Malta it was all included
But they should be able to give you an idea on price if they have done this before

It will depend on who is the agent in Malta handling the goods.
Find out from the shipper then ask the Maltese agent.
