Hey my husband and I, have been talking about the price changes in Egypt. Will the cost of an apartment lets say in Rehab or Maadi Really go up to the millions in the next couple years? If it does how will the Egyptians survive!? What about Mamoura? What will it cost to have a decent life in Egypt as far as just the cost of property and car. (a new car) Coming from America, things are pretty cheap, but my husband is making it sound like a car is 3X the price there as it is here! ITS A 3RD WORLD COUNTRY HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?!?!?!?! Because if it does, I don't want to move back then!!!!!

i was in Texas and I'm living in Egypt now, you can not set a fair comparison between both. there is a big difference between both, in everything, if i was in your shoes, i would live there the rest of my life

Husband really wants to move back to Egypt... So i'm stuck. I refuse to move back if i can't live the way i do here. So if he can do that then i'm there! but if not then i suppose i'm living the rest of my life out in America, which is completely fine with me, home sweet home.

The inflation rate in Egypt is phenomenal & I'm not talking about cars & apartments I'm talking about the essentials.

Food, clothes, medicine,..etc everything is getting more expensive by the day.

The prices are getting so high sometimes I wonder how the people keep going

& I'm not talking about high end products ( i.e My sis came on a vacation from the states she couldn't find Gerber here apparently we only have one brand of baby food here called "HERO" which is awful by the way tasteless & yellow goo):D

So with Monopoly, low end products being sold at high prices, & at the same time the salaries aren't moving anywhere near the inflation rates which means every year your "pouvoir d'achat" or ability to buy is lowered.

As for cars & apartments "Phenomenal" is the word (sometimes I wonder if there ever was an economical crisis looks like it only affected people's annual raise ) :P
