Hello, Peace and Blessings!
My husband and I arrived in Belize in January. We have rented a house in Dangriga on the ocean and our intent was to travel around a bit to get a feel for where we would like to settle. We were both so worn out that we couldn't do more than sit still, but we are looking forward to moving about now. We have spent some time recently in Punta Gorda, but since living on the ocean is paramount PG wont work. I hear that Hopkins is nice; we like the community feeling, but since I had a really bad experience with a serious infection from fly bites, I am a bit wary about Hopkins. We are educators, my husband is retired, but I may do some teaching or tutoring. Health is a concern, so we need to be some place where decent medical care is available. We plan to live 9 months a year in Belize on a tight budget and we don't want to build, but fix ups are fine. Any suggestions? Thanks so much Mama Sandra

1mamasandra - PG IS on the ocean. And PG is more budget than the Cayes, and most places on the mainland. Sounds
like it might be ideal for you.
