Should I live in Tunis?

Post new topic

Hi everyone, this is my first post :)

I am moving to Tunisia next week and I have a job in Tunis. The only problem is, I'm not sure I want to live in Tunis. I love beaches and nightlife and I want to live in a place where there are a lot of other foreigners. I hear that Hammamet sounds more like my kind of place. I am in my late 20s and will be moving alone.

So my questions are:

Am I wrong about Tunis? Maybe it does have great beaches and nightlife?

Is it possible to live somewhere else, for example Hammamet, and still commute to Tunis for work? How far away would this be and how would I get there?

Thanks a lot for any help :)

Hiya!!!

I have been in Hammamet for the past three months (Baraket Essahel)and although i have been with my partner i have spent alot of time alone due to him working. I have not had one single concern whilst here and there are plenty of places to rent and only 15mins in a cab to Yasmine, it is not far from Naebul. The beach and bars are a 10 minute walk away. The commute to Tunis is about 45mins by louage.

Hope this helps...and good luck!

heyyyy !!!!

Actually you heard right informations about the way of life in Hammamet !!!! You can find a lot of tourists there and you can find, also, a lot of night clubs !!!!!
in the summer i can granted that you will love the atmosphere there because you will find the city live !!!!! but in the winter it's really calm and you can find few people living there..
Hammamet is 60KM far away from  Tunis !!!!! you can get the train to be in Tunis ( it takes almost 1hour) or a louage ( kind of taxi which you can use only for commuting between cities)

Good luck
