What are the long Hobbit coats with hoods called which Libyan men wear when they go to the mosque in the mornings?

You know the things...they look like the Sand People out of Star Wars

I can't remember the name right now.  Just ask one of your local co-workers.
In Morocco they wear Jalaba which are a bit different than what I see here in Tripoli or in Egypt.  The Moroccan Jalaba has a large hood.  The Jalaba is more of a cloak or coat.

Over on the Arab Peninsula I believe the ankle length "shirts" are called thawbs.  All the regional variants of the clothes are really interesting.  Personally I think they look sharp and are probably pretty practical.

They call them Jalabia, which is close to the Moroccan name, also they look almost the same style. The cost of these may get as high as $250
