Helping stray dogs and cats in Puerto Rico

Any of you expats who live or don't live in Puerto Rico that care about the stray animal situation there, I strongly appeal to your sense of kindness and generosity to help alleviate the unspeakable suffering that these animals endure every minute of every day. If you are able to in any way, very small or very large I ask that you donate what you can to the list of rescue organizations I've listed. These people are serious miracle workers. They are taking dogs off the streets, getting them well medically and sending them off to the states in large numbers to be adopted at a very high rate. It's an incredibly difficult and expensive task and they need any and all the help they can get. You can reach them on their facebook page or through their website. In the end a lot of animals are saved, a lot of families are made happy and the island of Puerto Rico itself benefits. In the meantime, carry a bag of dog food in your car(cats will eat it too) and a jug of water and a drinking container. Feed and water every stray you encounter. Please, please check these sites out and do anything that you are able. For those that get involved  even to the smallest degree, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Your suggestion about having food and water is great but actually donating food and $$ to any of these guys is great.  They always have BIG VET bills and get no governmental funds!!
Please help ANY and all of the agencies mentioned by Gregg or myself.... SPAY AND NEUTER!!!!
