Moving to Malta with a disabled child

Hi there folks,
We are looking to make our plans and get organised to move out to Malta eventually but we have a lot of questions we need to ask about disability benefits and entitlements when we are there.
My daughter is severely disabled and currently gets mobility allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Incontinence service pads and a wheelchair. We get Carers Allowance and also House Rental Assistance for her as well but we are at a loss as to where we can get information on the provision for children with disability.  I also get a high level mobility allowance for my disability as well so any info on where to look or who to ask would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

P.S. We are off on holiday there in October to Sliema so even local places would be helpful

Hi,
I have no idea about benefits.... thats probably a question for George in Gozo or Ricky...:)
But this website/ organisation  may help a little

Hi kitbass,

welcome to the forum.

I'm not a specialist on the questions you raised so I hope that someone with specific  knowledge will give some advice and info.

If not I will get myself informed on the issues as I do have contact with NGO's dealing with disabled children.

I must say that you probably won't get the support you listed in your post that you are currently getting in the UK.

Cheers
Ricky

Thank you for the replies so far.
I appreciate we might not get all of the support that we get here in the UK from a monetary point of view but there are a lot of other benefits for her and we are hoping things like education and other support will be equal to (or from what I have read so far) surpass that which is available here in the UK.

I will keep looking and see what I can find out but again thanks for your replies so far.  Every littel bit of info helps :D
