Hi - anyone from Mt Isa? We are looking at moving from NZ to Mt Isa for a couple of years and wondering what the cost of living is over there - power, phone, internet, insurance etc. Any info would be much appreciated.

I am not from Mt Isa but since it's a mining town cost of living is higher. There were health problems up there due to lead contaminated soil everywhere - the outcome of the investigation was never published as far as I know (as usual in Australia). There is a little more info here
