We are NZer thinking of moving to Melbourne due to constant earthequake happening in Christchurch. We have a child who is just about 1yr, was borned profoundly deaf, had a cochlear implant surgery done in nz just before last Christmas. It is kind of worrying us what to do about the implant if it turns out having a cable broken or anything wrong with it-servces we use here is free and any parts can be replace for free too. Anyone who has a good understanding about how the public health system runs could help us it would be great. much appreciated.
