Does anyone have experience of teaching at Princess Noura University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia? Does anyone have any advice on teaching in the UAE? Is the lifestyle more liberal than in Saudi Arabia? Many thanks.

The UAE is a much more liberal country, love. I have spoken to lots of girls planning on studying at the university you plan to be teaching at -- I believe many of the professors are Irish, and the head of the Engineering Dpt. is a lovely man. You'll be able to meet lots of nice lads in your work environment, and the fact that you're of the male persuasion will help with finding activities and whatnot.

Have you thought about coming for a visit before deciding?
